The deal will have CD Baby provide 2 million DRM-free full-track music downloads on Didiom’s downloadable music marketplace.
Didiom, an award-winning mobile media service provider and CD Baby are now involved in a partnership to allow music fans to sample, purchase, and download music from CD Baby artists using Didiom’s recently redesigned mobile music service.
CD Baby is a company involved in selling and distributing music for about a quarter of a million artists. When the announcement was made Gray Gannaway, senior vice president of business development and digital distribution for CD Baby said “Independent artists increasingly seek to leverage the power of music discovery on the go and make their music available for over-the-air purchasing. We’re pleased to be a part of Didiom’s mobile music download service and to allow CD Baby artists to expand their audiences with Didiom’s unparalleled handset applications.”
