Demonoid Successfully Returns From The Dead: Tracker Up, Website Still Down

It’s been more than three months since Demonoid was shut down by Ukranian authorities, and while some hoped that the torrent portal will return, others prayed for those who ran it, as a criminal investigation was opened against them. By some sort of miracle, Demonoid managed to come back.
August 2012: Demonoid’s hosting company ColoCall received the visit of government authorities; as a result, the hosting service was ordered to shut the website down immediately. Meanwhile, those who ran it were apprehended by Mexican authorities, and a criminal investigation was opened against them. Despite these events, it looks like Demonoid came back.
As expected, Demonoid is no longer hosted by Ukraine’s ColoCall, but instead chose a Hong Kong service, given their new IP-address.
However, although the website’s address is not up and running yet, its users are more than happy with the news.
It’s not the first time when this kind of outage happens – Demonoid went offline in 2007 and 2009 for short periods of time.
It is yet unclear when the website itself will return, but it’s hopefully just a matter of time before it does.
However, the tracker is confirmed to be working.
