File Sharing and Offsite Backup Come to Interwork

Ctera Networks and Interwork Technologies have reached a deal to roll out a file sharing and offsite backup solution called S-Sphere. The new all-in-one SMB service is delivered as part of a security as a service (SaaS) suite that includes products from five companies such as Ctera which wants to develop a new line of hybrid storage solutions that would be the outcome of combining local storage with cloud services.

Ctera CEO Liran Eshel said the offering is an excellent one for the channel due to its capability, ease of use and the fact it doesn’t requires up-front investment. Besides that, the company has prepared some introductory offers for potential partnerships.

"We have a concept of cloud storage as a new way to deliver storage to small businesses," explains Eshel."It is easy to use the Ctera Portal to manage tens to tens of thousands of subscribers and control all aspects of Cloud Attached Storage, including provisioning, status monitoring and reporting."

The offering was made even more appealing by Ctera through a number of promotion bundles:

C200 SB/Branch Office Bundle: $499 including first year of service, with File Server with RAID 0/1 with optional external USB drives; Local and Online Backup, with unlimited local, 10Gb online, with 30-day retention; Secure Remote Access; Monthly Report and usage statistics; Remote Management with software updates, and centralized control; and Support for installation and maintenance.
