Nine Inch Nails and especially the band’s front man Trent Reznor have won the hearts of p2p users all over the world for good the moment they decided to release their albums for free via BitTorrent and share their music with their public without charging anything. The outcome was at that time like slap to the music industry’s attitude and approach to file sharing – at the beginning of the year P2PON was writing: “the album “Ghosts I-IV” by the famous industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails not only sold more than $1.6 million within a week after the release (many of which due to voluntary donations of $5 per download) but was nominated for the 51st annual Grammy awards. And all that was achieved with an album the members of the band voluntarily released on torrents.”

Now the fans of Nine Inch Nails have the rare chance of actually owing the instruments their idols played lived and in studio these years as the guys who have always defined the conventionalism of our times in music as well as in their general attitude have decided to sell their equipment on Ebay. According to P2P-Blog, NIN has put up for auction around 20 guitars. The band explained the reasons for giving up their gear:

“This is the equipment from the Nine Inch Nails touring Gear and studio rig that we are no longer in need of. (…) We will be listing hundreds of items over the next several weeks such as guitars, keyboards, amplifiers, drums, staging, anvil cases, cables, rack/outboard gear, guitar effects, pedal boards. So keep checking in on our auctions.”

This is about continuity since Reznor & Co. have always had a close relationship with their fans as The Guardian describes:

“Nine Inch Nails have long enjoyed an interactive relationship with fans. Reznor has given away albums, leaked professionally shot live footage, and was for a long time one of music’s most candid Twitterers. If Nine Inch Nails are no longer using some of their equipment, it seems they would rather see it in the hands of fans than gathering dust in a warehouse.”

vuidoo

While Youtube is by far the most popular site when looking for videos online, sometimes finding on the site that particular rare vid you’ve been wanting to see is not that easy and let’s admit it, if that video is not on YouTube for some reason, it’s kind of hard to think where else it may be found. So what options do you have?

Vuidoo.com is a very good one and here is why: the site is a great search engine that searches for videos in a number of sites simultaneously. The search database for Vuidoo which employs Google video technology includes as much as 20 sites such as Dailymotion, Google Video, LiveVideo, Metacafe, Break, Uncut, Blip.TV and others.

When it comes to odd or rare videos the more sources you have available for searching the better chances to actually find them and this is what will probably make very quickly Vuidoo a popular service.
