Top Downloads: Opera 10 Turbo Hits 10 million Downloads in a Week

Good times for Opera – for Opera 10 with Turbo to be more precise. The browser went passed 10 million downloads milestone. It seems that more and more Internet users are considering giving Opera a solid try and from first impressions their choice is justified.

We have got used to Opera being a third or fourth runner-up as shown by usage statistics. However, despite its not so high popularity with Internet users, we have Opera to thank for lots of the features we take for granted in web browsers today. It’s enough to say it was the first browser to include tabs, the first to use thumbnail-style page previews and the first to broadly support web standards, including many of the new features in HTML5.

So, looks like ‘The only way is up’ tune is really appropriate here.
