Nintendo DS Downloads Put Man in Prison

Lately Nintendo has increased the measures against piracy
Authorities have sentenced a Japanese Nintendo DS game pirate to 2.5 years in jail and, after he was found guilty for sharing online 1000 ROMs of DS games. The man was also ordered to pay a fine of $96,000 USD.
As Kotaku reports, the 38 year-old company employee Yoshiaki Asagiri, was put on trial last year after being accused of copyright infringement.
The judge presiding over the case, qualified Asaigiri deeds as treading heavily on the effort of the game creators and copyright owners who have invested much and money in publishing the games he made available on the Internet.
