Nokia: Our File Sharing Service is Now Free
Nokia has announced recently that its file sharing service, Ovi Files, has been made available as a totally free service. With Ovi Files a mobile device can access files saved on a remote PC/Mac by using a browser and the Ovi Connector software operating on the desktop computer.
Although Ovi Files was initially launched as free, limited-trial, and premium offering, now all users can enjoy its benefits free of charge. As for current users registered to the Ovi Files service, the company said will refund them in short time.
The file sharing service was the result of Nokia buying the Avvenu file sharing service. The concept behind the service remained mostly the same – all mobile devices with a web browser can access files shared on a PC/Mac whose user subscripted to the Ovi Files service.
