Windstream Offers Online Backup & File-sharing for Small Business

Windstream Corp. a high-speed Internet, phone and digital TV provider, launched yesterday a new online backup and file sharing service addressed to residential and small and medium business customers.

Called ConnectStream Secure, the service is basically, a mixture between independent security services like anti-virus protection, firewalls and intrusion prevention and detection, presenting itslef as a great feasible solution for small businesses. With ConnectStream Secure customers get more than computer protection. The service is designed to protect the whole office computing environment, without leaving out application servers, network printers and wireless LAN devices. It promises to fight efficiently against the latest generation of online threats.

According to the company they were inspired in creating this service by observing how vulnerable computers can prove to be especailly that customers' volumes of files are getting extremely large. An affordable solution to secure, store and share vital digital assets was seen as a business oportunity.
