StarForce DRM Wants a New Chance
Back in 2006, there was much noise when the anti-piracy company StarForce’s DRM was proved to be damaging to any PC playing a game that had gone through its “filter”.
Further on, StarForce proved to be highly uninspired when it wanted to file suit against a blogger who publicly condemned the company's DRM practice. Then, to wrap up the whole deal, came the hasty abandonment of the DRM for "alternative copy-protection systems" by Ubisoft not very long after.
Gamasutra has recently published an interesting interview with the company, which seems to be making an attempt to return to the international market after a three-year absence.
To get a better view of how the company has thought out their comeback you can read the whole interview here.
Maybe this time StarForce would not make the same mistakes as in the past and will focus more on the customer than other interests.
