Browsers Boast: Safari 4 a Hit, Opera a Revolutionary
Mostly everything on the Web is subjected to a transient hierarchy, caught in a temporary race, top or engaged in some sort of popularity war. Browsers make no exception and they belong to the latter.
Apple has recently announced that its browser, Safari 4 has reached more than 11 million installations within less than 72 hours since the company released it. This latest edition of the browser emerged with great and daring promises and claims – supposedly it loads pages 3 times faster than Firefox!

While every browsers puts itself in a good light with bold statements about speed and stability, Google Chrome seems to have the upper hand when it comes to climbing ranks faster and ensuring a good position in this hierarchy.
According to the same announcement more than 50% of the Safari 4 downloads were for the Windows version.
Meanwhile, Opera is making a huge attention-grabbing statement of its own – apparently, on June 16th it will no less than reinvent the Web (exclamation point required once again!). It’s still unclear what Opera is preparing and has been working on for some time now.
