FileTwt for Fast and Easy File Sharing on Twitter
The task of sharing files using Twitter hasn’t been a painless one so far – the need to buy a file server, upload the file, set a download link, and finally, share it with the Twitter community made it rather cumbersome. But has that changed now?
FileTwt is new file-sharing service that promises exactly that – it allows you to share files with friends or family via Twitter’s social networking and micro-blogging service.
The service comes with two types of FileTwts – public and private – with the latter having to register. If you do register, however, you receive a useful custom friend list for easier private sharing.
However, currently the site is facing some technical problems with user accounts which could make you unable to log in to your FileTwt account. Still, you can go ahead and use one-off file sharing to Twitter.
FileTwt also promises upcoming features such as integration with Google Maps, the ability to retweet files, and access to your file sharing history (detailed info concerning the shared files would also nice).
DeShea Witcher, one of three owners of FileTwt, states that many more FileTwt options are quickly arriving.
"We don't want our website to become stagnate like the others," said DeShea Witcher, one of three owners of FileTwt."We want to gain feedback from our users for what to include in FileTwt version 2. "
Gurinder and Ankit added, "More file hosts will be added soon and the file limit will be reviewed as per user demand. Feedback plays a big role in the development of our site."
That being said, try out the service for yourself and see how it fits you.
