Vipeers’s PUMP: P2P Desktop Application Loaded with Features
Back in March we reported about the success of the Mininova-Vipeers collaboration and it seems that the Bittorrent-powered file hosting service is continuing its ascension.
An upgraded version of its p2p media discovery and sharing tool PUMP has been released, TechCrunch France reports. Dubbed the "iTunes for video", PUMP is a very wide-ranging desktop application that allows users to search for and download the Flash versions of videos from a number of various sites such as YouTube, Dailymotion, BitTorrent tracker Mininova, Jamendo, LegalTorrents and Google Torrent.

Users can also add any other search engine to the already existing ones. The app lets you play videos using almost any format and share them using a plethora of social networks such as the popular Twitter, Facebook or FriendFeed.
Another great feature of the program is its ability to sync and convert files from both your imported iTunes and local PUMP libraries to your iPhone, iPod Touch or other mobile phones. Since VIPeers has also developed the torrent sharing client Podmailing, PUMP has (unsurprisingly) all the functionality of a regular BitTorrent client as well.

Currently PUMP supports only Windows Vista and XP for now (and Internet Explorer as browser).
