Microsoft’s Xbox 360 Hits 1 million Sales in Japan

At a media conference held in Japan yesterday Microsoft announced that the much awaited (by them) 1 million sales milestone has been finally reached by Xbox 360 console in Japan.
The company wants to show it has remained user-oriented and will reward Japanese Xbox Live users by giving them 1 million Microsoft Points.
Microsoft Japan president Takashi Sensui was the one to announce that but he also said that they plan to put up for sale new games the console together with downloadable content. Magna Carta 2 willl also be brought to the console starting August 6.
Lost Planet 2 will be featuring four-player co-op support, as Capcom producer Jun Takeuchi said, and Dead Rising 2 will have its main character fighting zombies in a casino with various objects.
Afterdawn reveals more from this year’s ‘agenda’: “Tri-Ace's Takayuki Suguro Sega discussed the new RPG title End of Eternity, which is scheduled for release in winter 2009. Microsoft Xbox marketing spokesman Joji Sakaguchi used the latter of the media briefing to announce some upcoming Xbox and XBLA titles, including BlazBlu: Calamity Trigger which is due out June 26, and a new 3D Samurai Shodown title. Lode Runner is due to land on the service tomorrow, April 22, while Banjo-Kazooie sequel Banjo-Tooie and Virtual On will both be available from April 29. Mega Man 9 is due out in June for 800 Microsoft Points and will include a new boss. Space Invaders Extreme and OD Beat Drop were also discussed but no date of availability was given.”
