Littleshoot Browser Plugin Now Able to Download .Torrent Files
Littleshoot is a browser-based p2p app designed by the Limewire team and released in December, last year. It didn’t take long for the guys to come up with some updates and to introduce the mother feature of all – downloading ability for .torrent files.
Right from the start we should say that while more experienced file sharers are unlikely to switch from their current p2p client to this plug-in, Littleshoot may be very well the tool of choice for those who are new to the p2p game (or just don’t want to bother themselves too much).
All you have to do is install the Littleshoot, go to a torrent site, click on a torrent file and have a new tab opening in your browser.
The little app also helps you to easily share your downloads via social sites, providing quick links to popular such sites including Twitter, Facebook, and Digg.
The updates are offering a more reduced the memory footprint – on Vista at least (about 60mb) though Firefox does seem to be a challenge for the app (it uses about 430mb ram).
