FilmOn Offers HD streaming with Very Little Buffering Time
A brand new compression technique dubbed HDi will be used in offering video streaming with little to zero buffering by the new startup company FilmOn.
According to the company the new technique can reduce the footprint of HD videos to 2Mbps but no further details about how that works were given.
You can go to the official site and enjoy many free movies (the service is maintained through private financing and the use of Amazon Web Services for hosting).
The service will work in the US and the UK, Alki David, the company's founder announced and "premium" films are offered, mainly new releases, with the price of $6 to stream and $8 to purchase.
