Easy File Sharing with Zapr

Zapr is a new file-sharing software that claims to simplify a lot the process of remote file sharing. The app needs to be installed only to the computer of the user who’s actually doing the sharing; the other users just need the URL the file sharer offers them. The content is hosted locally, with the Zapr server giving directions exclusively between the file sharer and the users looking for the file. You can share files either unprotected or with passwords. No limitation regarding file type or file size is imposed. Zapr is freeware, Windows only.

There are many functions that let you effortlessly integrate Zapr into your existing network. With this app you are able to add contacts, either manually or using bulk imports from Outlook and webmail clients (Live Mail and Gmail). Also, distribution lists enable you to grant access to multiple users quickly and simultaneously, which makes it easy for you to handle access across multiple project teams.

Features:

Share large files;
Share folders dynamically;
Enhance your blog or social network;
Set up your own website or sharing channels in minutes;
Remote access to your own files securely from any browser;
Share to everyone or privately with password protection;

Note: Given that Zapr does not actually host any of the shared files, the computer hosting the shared files and folders must be on in order for the link to work. Also, you must zip or otherwise archive the folder, because you can’t download folders through Zapr uncompressed.
