MySpace Throws in Searchable Video App

MySpace is now offering a new widget that allows users to search video content. Primetime, as the new feature is called, is a video player app which syndicates professionally created content from MySpaceTV media hub. Additionally, the application includes search functions, and also offers another outlet for MySpace’s video ads.

There is a downside, however, in that U.S. members exclusively can use this widget for the time being due to aspects concerning licensing. Here’s what Vice President Video and Entertainment, MySpace, Jason Kirk said:

"The Primetime application highlights how professional video content is being voraciously consumed across the MySpace ecosystem, not just within MySpaceTV."
The site now encourages members to embed the new app when creating their profiles.
