Get Them In Allows You to Send Your English Friends a Drink
Annoyed by services such as BuyYourFriendADrink.com because they address only to U.S. residents (you being a Brit lad)? Well, good news mate, a new service called Get Them In launched Firday and it offers the means to buy your friends food and drink items right on Facebook which can be redeemed at various U.K. pubs and retailers.
Get Them In extends its offering to grocery stores while BYFAD only focuses on bars. The drinks and snacks are actually bought via Facebook using PayPal, which makes the whole thing easier by having your full list of friends available in one place. This is how it goes: when you make the purchase, your friend receives a special redemption code sent to their phone which can be redeemed at the point of purchase in one of 1,500-plus participating retailers.
In the near future it seems there will support from the service for the U.S., Canada, and Australia, and also an OpenSocial version for use on other social networks.
