VIPeers Offers Free BitTorrent Hosting (invitation code for private beta included)
Vipeers entered today the world of file hosting services. The Bittorent-powered system is currently private beta and was launched by a French new media start-up called Zslide.
Partly, Vipeers is based on Zslide's private P2P service Podmailing, which is a mashup between server-based file hosting with Bittorent distribution. But Vipeers takes things to the next level by offering unlimited downloads through Bittorrent and HTTP.
As some tests conducted by the guys from P2Pblog show, Vipeers looks quite interesting attractive, and gets ahead of one-click-hosters such as Rapidshare and Megaupload. You are required to sign up for an account first and you also need an invitation code for this private beta phase. The aforementioned site also offers the following code P2PBLOG66 for the readers who want to register.
Despite the huge number of BitTorrent users, there aren’t so many of them interested in publishing content. Vipeers steps in making things a lot easier for those who want to do some file sharing. You no longer have to create a .torrent file, add trackers, and seed the file – which often puts people off. You just need to go to the web based uploader, identify the file you want to share on your machine, and VIPeers does the rest of the job.
