Limewire’s New Project – Podcasts
Looks like Limewire wants to expand its range in services. Recently, the company has created a podcast directory on its website, which, at this time, includes around two dozen podcasts. There is no certain information about the inclusion of this "pre-release alpha" in the Limwire client, the company's social music network or about its promotion as a separate project.
An attribute of the podcast directory are the magnet links that enable manually downloading of individual episodes using Limewire's client. For the time being the app has yet to become able to process RSS feeds or download podcasts automatically. However, the company seems willing to tamper with these features and adopt a more Bittorent-friendly-like service. Such Bittorrent clients like uTorrent and Azureus can employ RSS feeds with enclosures to automatically download content.
