NextshareTV UI: BBC via P2P?
A week ago we reported the unveiling of the P2P-powered NextshareTV set top box at the IBC conference in Amsterdam.
Now we returned to the subject with a few details – To start with, at a closer look you can figure out that’s the actual BBC News broadcast from September 12, and the time stamp of the photo's metadata matches the time showed on the TV screen – still no clue? Well, that means this is in fact a live P2P broadcast. The UI appears to also indicate that BBC One and Three are available via Nextshare, which makes us believe that hypothetically the BBC's entire program might be distributed in the future through P2P.

Also worth mentioning – the display presents podcasts and music albums, most likely stored on a user's hard drive, as available through the set top box. As a final point, the UI shows the word 'alpha". We’ll keep you updated in future posts.
The photo presented here (above) is actually the first one of the Nextshare UI and was posted on Flickr.
