DCIA to Inaugurate Global P2P & MUSIC CONFERENCE

The Distributed Computing Industry Association (www.DCIA.info), yesterday announced the agenda, sponsors, and first wave of speakers for its inaugural P2P & MUSIC CONFERENCE. The highly anticipated industry event is slated for Friday October 10th in the Grosser Stern Conference Center on the Exhibition Grounds of Messe Berlin - PopKomm, Germany.

DCIA CEO Marty Lafferty pointed out the ramification peer-to-peer phenomenon has developed very quickly and talked about how it affected the music industry – both negatively and positively:"P2P continues to represent both the most significant challenges as well as the greatest opportunities for the music industry - and we are grateful to PopKomm's organizers for recognizing that and asking us to mount this important event. We cordially invite digital music stakeholders from all parts of the world to plan now to attend the DCIA's first-ever P2P & MUSIC CONFERENCE at PopKomm in Berlin, Germany."

At the "Conference-within-PopKomm" will be present representatives of the most important P2P companies and major music distributors.
