80,000 Downloads a Day Scored by Top Free iPhone Apps

Illusion Labs, the developers behind the popular free application Labyrinth Lite, was outlined in BusinessWeek. Emerging, at first, as a developer for jailbroken iPhone, Illusion Labs has managed to make the switch to the App Store.

Their free version of Labyrinth recently was ranked number one spot in the App Store's most downloaded and has since established itself at fifth place. According to Illusion Labs such level of popularity equals about 80,000 downloads a day.

The free application is currently offered by the company as a 10-level demo version of their $5.99 full version. The same team is also the one that has come up with the popular free game called iPint which was commissioned by ad agency Beattie McGuiness Bungary for Carling beer.
