BeInSync File Sync Service
BeInSync performs (with great accuracy) four specific tasks: synchronizing, sharing, providing remote data access, and backing up. The simple interface prevents any confusion – each of the tasks is displayed as a huge button. You can select, however, the smaller 'Launch BeInSync' button to switch to a more sophisticated interface but still has the same four buttons at the top.
BeInSync does its job in its own way - files are not actually stored on its servers, the service simply syncs files between computers that are connected to the Internet.
One of its strongest points - BeInSync offers amazing file-sharing features. BeInSync is special in that it allows you to import and authorize all your Outlook, Outlook Express, and Windows Live Messenger contacts (not like other applications for which you need to type in the e-mail addresses of those you'd like to share files with).
What's more, with you can opt for people to have read-only access - Viewer, full access – Participant, or full access and account control - Administrator privileges; Live Mesh offers similar options.
One feature that beats them all is called Access. If you activate it and keep the installed version of BeInSync running, you grant access to anyone who has your BeInSync user name and password, and who is also running BeInSync, to virtually every drive, folder, and file on your PC through a Web browser.
BeInSync is offered at $100 a year (for which you get 50GB of online storage).
