Telstra Launches Next G mobile broadband WiFi router
Telstra teamed up with Netcomm and Sierra Wireless and put out a portable HSDPA, Wi-Fi and Ethernet router that can be used to share an Internet connection anywhere Next G mobile network coverage exists.
The emergence of the new Telstra Turbo 7 Series Wireless Gateway means a new secure, high-speed service that gives multiple users the chance to share a single mobile broadband service.
Netcomm was the one to manufacture the device while Sierra Wireless was in charge with the components. The purpose of this development, as stated by Telstra, is to allow businesses make the network mobile – on customer visits, to trade and community events, or to temporary work locations like construction sites.
The device is also advertised and presented by Telstra as an advantage for families lacking fixed-line Internet access. It would let them network their homes and share access client devices.
The Telstra Turbo 7 Series Wireless Gateway is composed of four wired Ethernet ports, Wi-Fi Next G HSDPA and 2.5G connectivity options. Users can expect wireless encryption (WPA) and upload speeds of 2Mbps. Note that the product includes a Next G SIM card.
