Mozilla Firefox Updated with 3 security patches
On Thursday, Mozilla released a new security update for its latest Firefox browser. The new Guinness Book awarded Version 3.0.1 for Windows and Mac tackles vulnerabilities in malformed GIF files on Mac OS X, command-line URLs that may launch multiple tabs when Firefox not running and a potential remote code execution by overflowing CSS reference counter.
But that’s not the only novelty from Mozilla. On Tuesday also updated the earlier version of Firefox with 2.0.16. As reported this move meets two of the Firefox 3 critical issues–command-line URLs and overflowing CSS reference counter.
Mozilla said it the updates to Firefox 2 will continue until mid-December.
