NIN Allows Free Download of Upcoming Tour Sampler

NIN has done it again! With their already well-known approach towards the music industry the guys managed once more to pleasantly surprise their fans and make major labels seem…redundant. It all started when the band noticed how the music industry would make a habit out of using its fans’ loyalty to charge them even more; So, NIN frontman Trent Reznor broke free from any such “attachments”.

After succeeding in getting those voracious record labels out of the way and thus increase the interaction and connection to their fans, NIN set up the pace for a new breed of artistic community.

Starting with "Ghosts Vol 1" (of 4) to its latest offering of "The Slip," NIN has been breaking barriers in terms of music distribution.

Fans are invited to enjoy a free NIN EP download including tracks from the lineup of its forthcoming "Lights In the Sky" tour.

Their blog says:

I am proud to announce the final personnel lineup of nine inch nails for the foreseeable future. We've added, we've subtracted and we've wound up with unquestionably the strongest lineup I've EVER had. Joining me onstage will be Robin Finck, Alessandro Cortini, Josh Freese and Justin Meldal-Johnsen.

We've been working on something really special for these shows and so far I couldn't be happier with the results. We'll be revealing some live performances shortly here on nin.com - in the meantime, we've posted some photos from rehearsals up on Flickr here.

Meanwhile, I assume some of you may not be entirely familiar with the acts I've chosen to join us on various legs of this tour, so we've compiled a sampler EP for you. CLICK HERE to download this for free. If you like what you hear, be sure to show up early to the show (and please remember to support them by purchasing their music, if so inclined).

Best,

TR

This EP puts out five high quality, DRM-free, songs: a place to bury strangers, does it offend you, yeah? crystal castles, deerhunter, and nine inch nails. Additionally, the offering gathers cover art, avatars, wallpapers, and more.

Trent Reznor proves again his straightforward but innovative thinking which will only bring him appreciation from his fans (and not only). Perhaps there’s something here to learn even for the self-contained record labels.
