Study reveals: Apple, Newegg the highest-ranked online stores
A recent survey conducted by ForeSee Results shows that Apple is still the leader on the field of online electronics stores. Compiling a list with the top 100 shops in the US, ForeSee study saw Apple and Newegg (online store for any electronics junkie) fighting their way to the highest scores.
Although the firm does not mention the reason behind the two giant labels’ success in the charts, it specifies that its rankings owe much to both the actual functionality of the site and the capability to find stock and get it at the right price.
Allegedly, most other names didn’t do very well on scores and obtained 74 points or even less (where 80 point was the “threshold” to be considered superior) out of 100; the ones that managed to get a bit closer to these two top stores were HP, TigerDirect, and Dell; at the other end of the list – generic stores such as PCConnection and PCMall, scored only 67. Stores from Best Buy and Sony merely scored averagely but were ranked on the chart some of the top-rising companies.
According to the ForeSee the information offers the big picture of the huge success of the companies.
