Industry Analysts Predict: GTA IV Will Break Sales Records

GTA IV.jpgAs many have been expecting the GTA IV has gone gold, reports eFluxMedia. Scheduled to be released on April 29, the game is the most anticipated one in 2008.

Variety makes a daring prediction saying that GTA IV will go beyond winning the title for the best debut in videogames industry and will also manage to get the title of “the biggest debut ever for an entertainment product”.

Allegedly, GTA IV introduced for the first time in the history of the franchise, a new approach including multiplayer capabilities, with up to 15 modes, each of them supporting up to 16 players. The game offers five new missions to be completed: “Call and Collect,” “Final Interview,” “Search and Delete,” “Deconstruction for Beginners” and “Truck Hustle.”

Apart from the standard version, whose price is $59.99, GTA IV will also put out a Special Edition. If you’re among those gamers keenly looking forward to it you’ll have to reach your pocket for $89.99 if you’re in North America and 89.99 euros if you’re in Europe.

The customized metal box in which the game will be released will include: Grand Theft Auto IV with special packaging, the Grand Theft Auto IV Art Book, with a premiere production artwork from Grand Theft Auto IV, selected soundtrack CD from Grand Theft Auto IV containing fresh tracks from mainstream artists, exclusively for this release and a special Rockstar keychain for the safety deposit box keys.
